Santa Barbara is a hot spot not only for California locals but also for destination weddings. Kelley and Ben visited California long ago when they first met and fell head over heels for the warm golden light and the non stop sunshine. They eventually moved here but when it came time to plan their wedding there was no doubt that all of their East coast family and friends were going to be heading out West to celebrate. 

The weekend festivities began with all of their guests checking into The Bacara Resort and Spa. This ocean front property was no doubt their first and only choice when it came to providing the ultimate sunny weekend experience. Guests were then shuttled to downtown Santa Barbara, specifically the Funk Zone. This area is full of wine tasting, bars, live music, epic shopping and incredible food. The Welcome Party began at Loquita with appetizers and drinks followed by Spanish cuisine including Oysters and Pellea. 

Laugh out loud speeches, specialty cocktails and some late night snacks kept the bar hoping most of the night. 

The Wedding Day arrived and both Kelley + Ben spent time getting ready with friends and sipping champagne before the sea side ceremony began. All of the incredible details came to life thanks to the talented team at Event of the Season. Immediately after ceremony guests were treated to appetizers and champagne on the bluff with the ocean view. As the sun set Kelley and Ben’s al fresco dinner began in the resorts rotunda followed by dancing. Late into the night guests were moved to a secret after party space set for for late night snacks and dancing.
