Brianna married her high school sweetheart Alex at her childhood home in Wheatland, Wyoming. The stunning estate is set far back into the Wyoming mountains and boasts several homes, fly fishing, skeet shooting, mechanical bull, horseback riding and canoeing on the lake. It even has its own Fire Department! Brianna + Alex asked their guests to soak up all that the property had to offer.
Day one began with family dinner in the old barn. An intimate space decorated by family and friends with two long farm tables, white twinkle lights and special cake just for the moms. What no one knew was that Brianna and Alex planned a surprise wedding! During dinner and after a few speeches, Brianna and Alex stood at their seats and spoke vows in front of the people they adored most. Their officiant and long time family friend was on hand to sign the marriage license making it official! Live music from Tim + Taylor, the couple danced their first dance under the Wyoming skies.
The incredible Team at Shelter Co stormed the ranch earlier in the week and set up a full on destination wedding location in the middle of this magnificent property. Luxury canvas tents and Yurts created a small town for guests and included all the amenities needed to be comfy on the ranch. Each tent was adorned with the names of each guest, a welcome gift bag and chairs for lounging before each day began. As guests arrived they were greeted by Brianna + Alex in a TeePee and presented with a custom room key and refreshments. Then they were whisked away to their home for the weekend. Guests were invited to fly fish and join skeet shooting before the first night’s welcome event began. Custom Canadian tuxedo attire was required. A ranch style BBQ and mechanical bull was set up in a pasture not far from the main house and as guests gathered it was becoming clear that the rain was going to change everything. Wedding planner Spice Jones and her team were quick and moved everything inside the old barn (including the bull!) The party continued and the mechanical bull was a hit! Even Briannas 89 year old grandma gave it a ride.
The Wedding Day marked a special time for Brianna and her family with a private first look with her father, then mother then her brothers. The ceremony site was set back far along an untouched area of the Ranch with the view of the mountains as a backdrop. Guests were shuttled in and greeted with champagne and edible wildflowers then they were escorted down an off beaten path to the ceremony site. As Brianna made her way down the aisle the rain had just begun to fall and as soon as she arrived at Alex, it stopped. The sun broke through and lit up the entire space filling it with light. A beautiful three peak teepee tent was waiting for guests when they arrived and the Jordan Kahn Orchestra played until the moon set.
